Configuration Package - Item Journal Entry

I have a company and I copied it to create a new company - so they are exact copies

I created a configuration package for Item Journal Entry (83) in Company A.

I manually entered an Item Journal - 18 lines - all the same document number. different item numbers, all positive adjustment

I exported the item journal in Company A

I created a configuration package for item journal (83) in Company B

I imported the spreadsheet from Company A into Company B and did the Apply Package.

1 record imports and I get the remainder as errors. The error states - Entry Type must be equal to 'Output' on an Item Journal Line.

I reimported this same file into Company A and there were no errors - it said that the records were modified.

I don't understand why I would be getting this error when the companies are the same - no setup changes - no changes at all after the Copy

Has anyone seen this type of thing

I have the same question (0)

Turned out to be a field called type having a value of Work Center

Thank you Josh - not sure if this was a part of the problem or not. I was able to start over in Company B only. I did find that the ones stating that the entry type needing to be Output had a field of Type set to Work Center - should have been blank.

Sharing this to hopefully help someone else

You mention the configuration package creation per company as separate tasks. I’d assume this is where the problem lies as there is a difference. If you export the package from A to B you will get the structure of the package and it’s data.
