Upgrade GP10 to GP2015 and SQL 2008 to SQL2014

Hi all,

I have this environment:

GP10 and SQL2008

Need to upgrade to

GP2015 and SQL2014 (In new server)

I understand that need to upgrade from GP10 to GP2010, then GP2010 to GP2013 and finally to GP2015. My question is, should I migrate the database to SQL2014 first? Or upgrade the GP10 to GP2010 first given that compatible issue of the GP version and SQL?

Thank you.

Depending on the build you are on I believe you can go directly from GP 10 to GP2013. I would do this on SQL 2008 and then restore the databases to the SQL 2014 server and install GP 2015.

    Regards,

    Kirk

Upgrade GP first...SQL 2008 should still be supported by GP 2015

I found this statement in the GP2015 upgrade instruction guide

    Database configuration changes
Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Standard and Enterprise Editions are supported.
Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Express is supported.
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express are no longer
    supported.

    Seem SQL2008 is not supported.

    Hi KN,

SQL Server 2008 is not supported for Dynamics GP 2015.

There is no direct upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015. You must first upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 to either Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 SP 4 or later or 2013 SP 2 or later and then upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015.

You can have a look at the below article for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 Upgrade Instructions guide:
