Is there a way to post transfer journal automatically out of the box?

If possible to select which type exactly should be automatically posted?

Hello, it's not supported out of the box posting automatically invent journals.

The only option is to create a new batch custom class, require a developer, that, based on a query, post automatically journals you need to post.

You have to manage how check the status of posting and general status of the batch execution.

As Diego mentioned, I also don’t recall there being a prebuilt option to automatically post inventory journals. That said, could you please share the use case or business scenario you’re trying to address? Understanding that would help us provide a more accurate answer.

Hi,

Can you please share more details on what do you mean by automatic posting? Do you mean users will create transfer journals manually and system should post them based on some criteria in a batch mode automatically?

In standard there no such option and you will have to customize the posting of journal logic to include a query option which will allow for selection of type of journal.

Hi NSPhoenix123,

Like others have said, there is no automatic posting. Even the posting in batch should be started per journal individually.

I'm also interested in your process. How are the lines created and what would be the moment that the journal is ready with all the lines to be posted? Maybe you have a Power Automate flow filling the details and at the end of the flow you want to post the journal.

Since 12 days, there were several replies, but you didn't add more details. If you answer the above questions we can suggest a viable workaround or customization approach.

Hi,

In Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O there is no standard or out-of-the-box feature that automatically posts inventory transfer journals immediately upon creation (for example, right after they are created manually or by another process).
However customization can be done to post the journals based on criteria via customized batch job.
