I am trying to add a user to Dynamics Security Console. Normally if I right click on Microsoft Dynamics Security I have a menu choice of 'Define Security Administrators' - then I can define who is administrator.

My problem is - I am troubleshooting somebody elses work and I do not get the choice of defining security administrator.

Any assistance would be appreciated - I can't seem to get past this step......

    Hi Bron,

     You must be logged in as an existing administrator or as the user who installed the console in order to get that option. 

    Edit: it should be noted that the domain or local admin may NOT be an administrator for the security console.

    That's the puzzling part - I did not install the product - someone else did. But that person was logged onto the network as 'administrator' when they installed. Thus, I should see those options.

     The console hangs when we try to select a service.

     Operation times out.

    I did check the application pool properties and the identity of application pool = GPAdm.

    Question - does GPAdm need to be setup as a user on this machine? Like econnect user?

    Any help would be appreciated......
