We have been excited about MS Dynamics GP Word add-in templates that allowed us to make one of our clients invoice look and function according to their needs and requirements. The client has customized and used the OTHER INVOICE FORM which was not available as a template in the supplied templates with the Dynamics GP 2013. That is why we created, designed it and added all the requested fields using available recommendations. Everything went smoothly without errors. We relied on Report Writer with the fields and updated our .xml file with each change as well as the template in the Templates Management. We found that we have to create Historical Invoice template in order to be able to print our Posted Invoices. It has been created. The first thing our client tried is printing. We opened Print Sales Documents in SOP, selected our invoice as the document type and...our format was not available. The OTHER INVOICE FORM Format is not available in the PRINT SALES DOCUMENTS. It is missing in the Print Historical Document for the Invoice as well.
We had to step back and to customize BLANK INVOICE FORM for the client to have the Format available for printing from PRINT SALES DOCUMENT. Although we have questions remaining.
Is it possible to add the OTHER INVOICE FORM Format to the available formats list? Why is the OTHER INVOICE FORM format missed in the list of the available format while there is no any limitation or restriction in the SOP documents INVOICE formats set up?
