How to get path in business central

Hello everyone,

I want to ask that how can I get the path of a specific blob field that contains an image or a document? Like in report inbox page there is a field "Report Output" i.e. a blob and contains pdf doc. I want to get the path of the file and download it. Kindly help. Thank you.

Hi Anas,

I do not fully understand your query.

Blob field stores data in db table not to a file.

In report inbox when you select a specific record and click download, it will download the file from blob to your browsers downloads folder.

To be able to download from a blob you have to read the data from the blob into a stream first.

You can refer to this documentation for an example on how to do that in AL.

Hi, in principle, we cannot see the path of these files. But the following functionality was recently released in Power Automate, although I don't think we can get it from AL, but hopefully it gives you some hints.
