We are planning to install CRM on front end, back end, SQL server, SSRS on it's own server. We successfully installed front end server. While trying to install back end server, getting error "The SQL Server is unavailable".

From the error, it looks like a name resolution issue (network name not found). I'd first check the name for the SQL server is correct, and that the name resolves in DNS from the server on which you're running the setup program.

If that's OK, it may be that the SQL Server computer name had changed since the SQL instance was installed, and this might cause problems, as the sysservers table in the SQL master database may be out of date
