User Access Vs Team Access

Hi All,

I am making some security changes in our organization and would like to have some feedback.

1. We have created Team 1 and added users A, B and C

2. User A has been assigned with a security role which allows them to Create/Edit records in Accounts entity

3. User B and C have been assigned with security role which allows only to Read records in Accounts entity

4. However, Team 1 is only assigned with Accounts Read access.

Will User A has access to Create/Edit Accounts as they have the Create/Edit security role assigned at user level?

Thanks,

Praveen.

    Hi Praveen Kumar Ellappa,

User A will have access to create and edit account records owned by Team 1, as they are assigned with a security role which allows them to create and edit account records, and they are a user in Team 1. Security privileges are cumulative, so they will be able to create and edit the team’s records even though Team 1 is only assigned with read access for account records.

    Hi Praveen,

User A should be able to Create/Edit/Read the Accounts record , in that case security role will be merged and highest security role will be applied.
