Update Record URL of an opportunity in the Email template

Hello,

When an opportunity is won/lost, an email is been sent out with all the details of the opportunity.

I need to add the Record URL of the opportunity in a URL custom field.

I created a workflow and updated the URL field as <hyperlink><name>Click Here</name><value>{Click HereProduct-{Record URL(Dynamic)}}</value></hyperlink>

This does not seem to work.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

    Hi Huzefa,

    Try remove Click Here inside <value> markup.

    Is the URL for Opportunity or Product?

    Use this inside <value> markup for opportunity:

    {Opportunity-{Record URL(Dynamic)}}

    Regards,

    Abby

    Hello,

    Yes, I did use {Opportunity-{Record URL(Dynamic)}} as the value.

    It does not give the url, instead gives the text like this:

    URL: Click Here{Opportunity-{Record URL(Dynamic)}}

    Thank you.

    It would easier for you to just use insert link :)

    See image below:

    I guess I missunderstood, you are not using the Url as a clickable hyperlink inside the email?

    If you are only a setting custom field value, you will not need to save all the mark-ups.

    Look for {Record URL(Dynamic)(Opportunity)} inside form assistant.

    Hello,

    Worked fine.

    I am using a custom email template where I can only add Record URL(Dynamic)(Opportunity) in the field.

    I get the link but its not a hyperlink.

    It does not work if I manually add <hyperlink>.

    Hello,

    Yes, did the same. Set the custom field to {Record URL(Dynamic)(Opportunity)} and then made the custom field a hyperlink in the email template.

    Thanx for your help. Appreciate it.
