Commerce upgrade from D365 on premise to D365 Commerce Cloud

Quick question my client is using D365 Operations version 10.0.5. My client has the intention to migrate to D365 Commerce Cloud.

Does my client needs to upgrade to 10.0.30 before migrating to D365 Commerce or Can the client just directly upgrade to D365 Commerce. If option 2, do you see foresee any issues?

    Can you confirm the below.

    1. Your customer is running D365 Commerce (HQ) on premise  and want to migrate that to Cloud.

                                                                                                OR

    2. Your customer's D365 Commerce HQ is running in Cloud and they are using self hosted cloud scale unit for stores, which needs to be moved to cloud ?

    Either way, 10.0.5 is a very old version which is not in support. You will need to upgrade to a version that is currently in support to make sure that you get support MS support. On the LCS deployments, MS often limit the version to last 3-4 versions that were in support.  You may please refer to the below article for versions and their end of service.
