We are in the initial stages of integration of our crm with Marketo and learned that when data is synced to Marketo from lookup fields in Dynamics, the unique record GUID is put in the Marketo field rather than the name of the referenced record.
So we were advised by Marketo to create custom fields in CRM for each of the lookup fields that we intend to sync.However, I see CRM will create an additional text type field whenever a new lookup type field is created. I can see this text field in Metadata browser but this does not show up in the Solution Customization neither in the Marketo.
Any idea if there is some setting that I need to do in order for them to show up for Marketo sync purpose. Looking to avoid creating additional fields as we already have them created by CRM and repurpose these fields instead.
For eg: my Custom lookup type field in CRM is 'xyz_testlookup'. I can see 'xyz_testlookupname' field in metadata browser.
So wondering why cannot I use this field('xyz_testlookupname') for Marketo integration.
Any suggestions?
