I am trying to categorize BC integration possible method to the other systems but I am not sure if I capture all the method.

Can you review and let me know if I missed anything?

1) API (ODATA, etc).

2) Dataverse

3) Power Automation

4) Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management

yes that is correct

I would add that with Power automate and logic app you could also integrate BC with an On-Premises system via on-premises data gateway

just curious if its an integration to bring data to BC, have you typically seen this done where a BC customization was created to consume the API/data or using some application externally the BC web service is used to push the data to BC?

I have seen it both way

1) To create for external application. One common case is to create custom API (with query) to query data from BC then feed to Power BI to save resource. I also, saw this when you have specific software (like document generator software) and want to push the data to that tp generate customized software.

2) To push data to BC is you point out.

sorry I was not clear - I meant in both cases you are importing data into BC using APIs. From what I can tell to do this you have two options: create a customization inside of BC (an extension) or push the data to BC from somewhere externally (postman, etc); but is there an advantage of either option?
