Custom Number Sequence format for POS Transaction Numbers

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the transaction numbers in Point of Sale (POS) and Headquarters (HQ). Is it possible to create a custom number sequence format for the transaction numbers that are generated in POS and displayed in the Store Transactions form of HQ? Or would this require customization?

Hi,
To customize the number sequence in the standard test environment, there are only two options for the retail store field, statement number and voucher. There is also no OOB transaction number field in the commerce parameter. You may need to customize to achieve your needs.

Transaction numbers in POS are more for internal use and are not printed in customer-facing documents. There is no option to modify it out of the box. Other customer facing reference numbers like receipt ID, Sales order numbers are configurable from functionality profile and number sequence respectively.
