hi,

is it possible to force a specific format for the home phone and mobile phone fields in Dynamics CRM Online?

would something like this work ? https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/crmpowerobjects/archive/2013/12/09/formatting-a-phone-field-in-crm-2013

or can we set a format mask or something easier than using custom JS?

The only way I have done this in the past is with custom JS or a plugin.

Hi,

Javascript is the way to go if you want it formatted as the user types. If you want to format the phone numbers no matter where it comes from (through the CRM browser, external code hitting CRM, etc), you'll need to do it in a plugin because javascript only runs on the CRM browser.
