Available At Location - when is the picking list actually posted?

Good day dear Community

I have  been studying new features in D365 and I would like your insight on the new flushing principle "available at location".

According to Microsoft https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/production-control/flushing-principles

once the batch order has been released and the work generated for picking and the work completed, my understanding is that by completing the work AX should create automatically and post the picking list  for the materials with status picked.

According to the description below , there is a batch job scanning all transactions in status picked which triggers a picking list consumption

Would you happen to know if this batch job is something it should be set it up or is it just trigger upon work completion?

many thanks

If anyone is interested, I was able to replicate the picking list consumption and the condition is that the batch order must be in status started.

When I tried I created a PB and created/processed the work when the order was still in status released.

So essentially,  in order to consume automatically  materials in status picked the batch order has to be in status started and the work must be completed.

AX will generate after a couple of seconds a picking list and post it based on what has been picked.

Brian Rodda there is no periodic / recurring batch job running.  The code for the available on location flushing principle submits a batch job to post the consumption immediately after the PUT is completed to the production input location.

If I remember correctly from my testing , the system consumes automatically also if you move stock into the input location and then you trigger the release to warehouse functionality on that specific batch order.

The consumption will be based on the formula/bom consumption.
