Greetings!

I have a user that when they login, Dynamics GP 2015 R2 the application goes "Not Responding".

I have enabled DEXSQL logging and found the following recursive call occurring for what appears to be every vendor (we have 100,000+).

What is this?  Any way to disable this?  I believe it has something to do what activity on the home page.  I tried disabling that.. even reset those SYS tables controlling the user's homepage role & preferences to no avail.  Any advise is greatly appreciated - Thanks!

Is this specific to only one user on any machine in the system, any user on that one system, or a breakdown of the two?

Impacting a single user logging into GP from any machine.

Haven't ever experienced anything similar, but is it much of a loss other than time to create a new user and duplicate the security and settings? If the problem persists then it would likely be part of the setup for the user and I would question any changes made in the past few days to the user settings.

    Ryan,

As suggested by Scott, try create a new use & duplicate the security settings. If behavior persists, than investigate if that user has some 'reminders' or alerts setup in GP regarding the vendor master table (i.e. on hold warnings).. if you have a large vendor table (PM00201), that could be the cause of it.

Hi! please check if the user has any "task" or "alerts" configured after Great Plains starts.

select * from DYNAMICS..SY01403    where userid='XXXXX'        --user tasks
select * from DYNAMICS..SY01404    where userid='XXXXX'    --user alerts

After deleted those records, it solved my problem!
    Thanks
