How can I copy a phone contact into CRM?

I'm trying to convince our new CRM users that it can be really easy to get a contact into CRM. One example I want to use is the idea of using a business card scanning app on the phone which OCRs the details from a business card and creates a contact in the phone. Is there a way of getting the contact directly into CRM from the phone contact, or do they have to call it up in Outlook later on their PC in order to get it into CRM?

Hi. You can sync them from outlook crm client. Or use app that use the crm web services to save contacts directly.

Hi PhChBr,

If your first interaction is a phone call ( particularly for staff who use Outlook Contacts extensively e.g. to record peoples' phone numbers).

As Hamzeh says you can set them up to sync directly from Outlook.

Personal Options>Synchronization>Filters>Set up filters for Contacts (if not all are to come across from Outlook to CRM).

If your first interaction is an email or appointment:

Alternatively under the Email tab you can auto-create records in CRM from the sender or organizer of tracked email messages & meetings.

If your first interaction is an exchange of business cards:

Numerous business card 'scanners'/photo-based capture solutions are available e.g.

Select the Server side sync setting for the user. The server side sync will be very helpful in this scenario.
