Production "End date" after Scheduling operations

Hi everyone

I need some help or explanation in this case.

1) I have Production order

pastedimage1589277192178v5.png

2) I schedule operations:

- Scheduling direction = Backward from scheduling date

- Scheduling date = 29.05.2020

pastedimage1589275530944v4.png

3) I get the "End date" = 28.05.2020

Questions:

1) Why is the D365FO calculating the End date that is " -1 day" from Scheduled date? (I considered that they should be equal)

2) Can I change system configurations, to get in "End date" field Schedule date (that is start date in Backward destination)?

Thank is advance!

Kind regards,

Anika

    Hi anika.afi

Unlike Job scheduling, with Operations scheduling, you cannot enter a time at which you wish to schedule backwards from.

My guess is that AX is scheduling the production order to be finished by 29/05/2020, which means by 23:59 on the 28th. Probably you have a calendar which says you cannot schedule production after 6pm, so completing production at 6pm on the 28th is as late as it can schedule the order to be ready by 29th.

    Hi Rahul

    Thanks for your reply.

Start date and End date are the same, because my route (in this case) takes only 4,5 hours:

    pastedimage1589286883239v1.png

    pastedimage1589286908911v2.png

The question is, why End date (in this case) is not 29.05.2020 (and Start date too if it's principle).

If Production order should be ready on 29.05 (and Production takes not all day, but it's part 4,5 hours), I suppose that system should schedule End date = 29.05 (and Start date too).

I also can assume that system takes 29.05 date and 00:00 time during "Backward scheduling from scheduled date". Then it explain why in Production order End date is ''-1 day" from scheduled date.

I just want to understand how it works.

    Thanks.

your start date and end date both shows 28/5 should consider refreshing form

backwards scheduling would try to meet the end date provided
