    Hello,

I see you have setup this Item with a Base UOM = EA, which stands for 1, and another Item UOM of PR, which converts to 1 or is 1. May I ask why? This is not best practice and now BC things you have 2 UOM that are of 1. EA comes first then PR. I would recommend NEVER having a UOM that equals the Base UOM of 1. If you can change this it is prudent.

Now can you search for Bin Content List and tell me if the Item/Location/Bin has an Available Qty. to Take:

If yes, my gut is telling me when the you try to Post Ship since its seeing EA = 1 vs PR =1 as EA is the first Code found. Again, this is my theory. You can test this in Cronus. Here is my test:

I Received and Posted a Purchase Order for an Item with a BASE UOM = PCS but my PO was UOM = EA. Both are 1.

The Bin Content shows my Item, my Bin Code, and the Quantity but notice the UOM = PCS, not EA. It was changed to Base UOM. This is the issue. You cannot have 2 UOM's = 1.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Thanks, Steve.

The Bin Contents do have 1 PR available to take.  I am thinking, I will need to enable Direct Put-away & Pick for the Sample location, is that correct?  Thank you.

    Hello,

Yes, your pic shows the PR available to Take but the error says the opposite. You have 2 UOM's with a UOM = 1 and that is not allowed. Directed Pick & Put-Away will only add more admin to the warehouse and not solve the underlying issue. You need to have only 1 UOM that refers to the unit of 1.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve
