Seeking Guidance on Implementing Universal Print in Business Central Online

Hi BC Experts!

I’m exploring options to connect dedicated printers to Business Central Online and have been reviewing available resources, including Erik Hougaard’s informative video. While the video provided a solid foundation, I’d like to seek insights from the community on implementing Universal Print in BC Online.

Specifically, I’m curious about:

  1. Implementation Experiences: Has anyone successfully set up Universal Print in BC Online?
  2. Azure Considerations: Were there any challenges or bottlenecks encountered on the Azure side?
  3. Licensing and Subscription: Insights on licensing models and subscription costs for print jobs would be highly appreciated.

If any experts could share their experiences, best practices, or tips, it would be incredibly helpful.

Thanks in advance for your guidance!

The feedback I hear about UP is that it is:
    • very expensive
    • does not support all printers (minimal support for label (zebra) printers, same for thermal printers)
Most prefer to use other solutions like: PrintNode.

In Past I have used Azure for online printer, and since last 2 years is working well, see if in your case it can help you as well.
