Hi,

I've been asked to investigate away of seeing who is logging into CRM
• At a given time
• On each day

and what they are looking at

Firstly is this possible?

Can a dashboard be created within CRM or would a Power BI Dashboard be more suitable?

Any of these I would need to some assistance with, especially PowerBI as I'm just experimenting with this application

Regards

Chris

    Hi Chris1968,

CRM has the Audit Summary View in Settings > Auditing.

This view lists all changes to all entities / records which have Auditing enabled. You can drill through to the individual records from this list and view their Audit Summary. This view is not available for dashboards, though.

Or you may try to download User Adoption Monitor solution:

As the name suggests, this app monitors adoption of Dynamics 365 CRM by users and track their actions.

Manage Dynamics 365 Usage - User Adoption Monitor (microsoft.com)

Then you can refer following links to know more detailed steps:

Additionally, if you want an absolutely gory amount of detail for any entities you enable auditing on (beyond what's visible in the system that Leah provided the instructions and screenshot for, the complete logs themselves are visible in the M365 (not D365) Compliance Center.  Be warned though: generating them for all activities for any time period beyond a 2-3 day range takes a LONG time and the resulting download file can be very, very large.

I did this a while back on my own environment and ended up having to create a VM in Azure to run it on.  Still took 3+ hours to generate, 15 minutes or so to download to the VM, and another hour plus to download to my local machine. And EIGHT MINUTES to open the file.

But, if you really wanna know that level of detail, MS provides a way .

    Hi Lorne,

Not sure if that level of information is really required, but thank you for providing another option

Leah is nice and doesn't scare people by telling them about that
