Recommended Billing Services For Business Central 2022?

I cam across this video: (15) Self Monetization Dynamics 365 Business Central Apps - YouTube, which is a great tutorial on implementing Stripe for a Business Central add-on app.

It is relatively old though (close to 4 years ago) and I was wondering if there is a new recommended way of implementing a billing service for a Business Central app extension that is published on App Source?

The code needs uplifting in a few places but in principal the method used is still valid today and I would imagine some of the appsource extensions use a similar structure

I would focus on building your app for the current version of Business Central.
For version 2023 wave 2 and later, you can enable transactability and sell through AppSource.

We can manage the BC AppSource License in multiple ways, which I have outlined as follows:

1. Choose for selling through Microsoft and create plans. Map the Plan ID in the BC Extension entitlements and permission sets as Microsoft standard licensing works.
2. Utilize a third-party Licensing Management Service provider and integrate it within your apps. For instance, consider Spare Brained Licensing - Spare Brained Ideas
3. Develop your own Licensing Key Generation and validation process using Rest API Validation.
