GetAddress.io postcode lookup on custom ship-to address

Hi,

I have recently upgraded to BC25 after a successful go-live last week. As part of the upgrade we moved away from a custom developed postcode lookup API and instead opted for the built in extension getaddress.io.

GetAddress.io works really well for us, in that when populating a postcode field with a postcode, GetAddress.io suggests an address from that area and proceeds to populate the name, address fields etc.

However, it appears this is not the case for the custom ship-to address field on a sales order. I have looked and the postcode field under 'Custom address' is a standard postcode field, so not a modification that GetAddress.io would not recognise as a postcode field. - Note, as per the documentation, the Country/Region is set to GB as reccomended.

When typing in a postcode, nothing happens. There is no short delay whilst the postcode is verified and it acts like a standard text field with no action behind it.

Does anyone know if it is possible to extend this field to be used by GetAddress.io so we can use postcode lookup?

Hi, This appears to be a localized feature for the United Kingdom (UK). Hopefully the information below can give you some hints.

In addition, it is recommended to post questions related to localization functions in the following BC Yammer Group. Microsoft technicians will see them and give you better responses.

    Thanks
    ZHU
