what D365 products will benefit from Unified Interface?

Hi folks,

and first of all sorry for maybe this is a stupid question. But I really cant find something for this:

What D365 products will benefit from Unified Interface?

Will only model-driven apps like custom apps on the power platform benefit from Unified Interface, or will it be possible to use the benefits on whole products like D365 Finance or Supply Chain Management?

I´m confused at the moment, becaus I can find articles about "D365 Sales" and "power platform". but i cant find information about the other products of d365.

Thank you in advance for your help! In best case with a link to an official MS Statement.

have a nice day!
Richard

Hi, yea its a relevant question.  A lot of people dont realize its two different types of products under one umbrella (D365 - formerly CRM and AX).  The new UI is the CRM side - model driven apps, D365 for: Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Marketing, PSA, etc.  The FO modules are not under the same umbrella as this.  Hope this helps.

    Hi,

and thanks for your reply. You confirm that there is a difference in the handling with FO modules, thank you. But I hoped I can get a statement to the handling for FO (or supplyChainManagement) for the future. Is there any change in sight, concerning the User Interface?

So i leave this as "unanswered" in hope someone can provide a additional Information for that.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Richard,

Dynamics 365 Operations applications customers are indeed relying on a different type of architecture than Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications and Power Apps model-driven applications (those being based on Dataverse).

You can however the use model-driven apps with F&O data through these 2 means, that require a Dataverse environment to host these apps:
