Remove Discount Reason Codes From Receipt

Hi, Everyone!

Does anyone know how to Remove Discount Reason Codes From the Receipt?

I am baffled by this.

Every time there is a discount (with reason codes turned on)  each line item takes 4 lines

and my client doesn't like it.

    Hello Gerald,

    Thank you for the tricky question. The discount codes were nowhere to be found in the receipt template. I got it to work by disabling "show line discounts" in the template file and also changing the transaction details to specifically point to just the item description.

    In the Attribues section, find and replace this line:

    <SET name="ShowLineDiscounts" custom="true" description="Show Line Discounts" type="vbBoolean"> True</SET>

    with this:

    <SET name="ShowLineDiscounts" custom="true" description="Show Line Discounts" type="vbBoolean"> False </SET>

    In the Transaction Details section, find and replace these 4 lines:

    <ROW> Entry.Item.ItemLookupCode "|" Entry.Description "|" Entry.ExtendedPrice </ROW>

    with this:

    <ROW> Entry.Item.ItemLookupCode "|" Entry.Item.Description "|" Entry.ExtendedPrice </ROW>

    Bear in mind that this does work, but is not a complete answer. If wanted to control specific things, like kill the discount codes but still be able to modify the description other ways, you cannot do that.

    One last question here:

    My client needs to display the customer's check number on the receipt bur I couldn't figure out what the variable is. It's tendercheck.something, I guess.

    Any suggestions?
