Dynamics 365 App for Outlook and two apps

Hi,

I've got one fully functioning model driven CRM app working from a production environment using Dynamics 365 App for Outlook without any problems.

I am working on another model driven app currently in a sandbox environment. My users would like to use the same functionality in the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook that is currently being used in the existing CRM app.

Does anyone know if this will work? I suppose it won't be a problem for users not using the existing CRM app but I will have users that use both apps. I've read in some documentation that the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook can only be linked to one Microsoft Dataverse environment or Customer Engagement (on-premises) organization at a time. Is there any work around for this?

Hi jlow1,

Yes, "Only one Dynamics 365 for Outlook instance can be designated as the Synchronizing Dynamics 365 for Outlook instance. "

Also, "the feature of the traditional Outlook Client that is able to keep the configuration of multiple instances and switching on which one that becomes the syncing org, seems to be not available for the Outlook App."
