Auto number generator

Hi

I need a free auto number generator that is thread safe. I was using Planet XRM ID Generator but when I bulk imported thousands of record or even a few hundred using multiple threads, it generated duplicate numbers. I need to assign prefix and generate fixed length ids like L15-0000001 etc. Does anyone know of such a tool.

    Or you do using workflow..

    create contract/quote/order and copy contract id in your record and delete contract record

    This will generate unique number

    you can use this only if you are not using this entity

    Hi Mir,

    Since you are using Dynamics CRM 2013, you can use Real Time Workflow to create your own Tool to generate Auto Number.

    Here is a step by step guide to create one

    Remember to use the Real Time Workflow, if you use Run Background you will get duplicate numbers.
