Bulk Records Delete using a Plug-in

Hello,

I have been doing Bulk Records Deletes through Data Management, while it works fine it just takes about four hours to delete my records. Can the records be deleted using a plug-in or some other method which will increase performance?

Can someone provide examples if this is possible.

    Hi Jerry ,

    Is there any specific event you need to fire your bulk delete plugin?If no then I would suggest create a console application where you write your bulk delete code .

    Hello,

    Plugins and workflows work internally in CRM and have timeout limitations.

    My recommendation - try to use SSIS + Kingsway Soft Intergration Toolkit. I use it for this kind of tasks.

    Hi..

    You can write your own console application to delete records.. but basically it will also do the same bulk delete request to delete records.

    another option is to use integration tools like SSIS packages with cozyrock or kingswaysoft  to delete records.

    Also to increase performance on delete.. check is there any workflows or plugins executing on record deletion or auditing is enabled.. which will cause some slow performance.
