Hi everyone,
I'm the system admin for our team's CRM online 2016. I recently created a workflow to send an email when a new lead is created. Whenever I (the admin) create the lead, the workflow executes as it should. However, when a team member with less permissions creates a new lead, the workflow fails. The workflow's scope is set to organization, so I am not sure where the problem is. My initial thoughts are it has something to do with permissions but not certain where specifically to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you say change the workflow to execute as user, are referring to the From field from the email template and setting the dynamic value as Owning user, or do you mean change the Workflow scope to User instead of organization. (If it's the latter, will that not just limit the workflow to only fire when the workflow owner triggers it?)

This occurs because you Need to Remove the Sender of the Email in the Email Template / Body, The Workflow will Send as the Workflow owner, or you need to change the workflow to execute as user and it will send the email as that user.

It will help us to determine if it is actually a security role issue or not If the Workflow is not firing at all it will not show in the records Background Processes, Can you please check to confirm?
If It is Firing, then which part of the workflow is it failing on, Please provide screenshot of Background process
