Hi
We have a business case where we will be using Delivery schedule to split sales order lines. The customer will also regularly deliver quantities that exceed the quantity on the sales order line. They need to specify the overdelivery percentage as a percentage of the original line quantity (before the split).
Example
1. Original sales order line, quantity = 1,000 yards, overdelivery % = 10% => 100 yards
2. Use Delivery schedule to split quantity to 2 lines, quantity = 550 yards, 450 yards
3. Line 1: we will deliver 550 yards (= sales order line quantity). Generate picking list -> Picking list registration -> batch reservation (reserve stock by serial number = 550 yards) -> Update line to confirm
4. Line 1: post packing slip
5. Line 2: we will deliver 550 (exceeds sales order line qty by 100). Generate picking list -> Picking list registration -> batch reservation (reserve stock by serial number = 550 yards) -> Update line to confirm : error "Overdelivery of line is 22.22 percent, but the allowed overdelivery is only 10.00 percent".
I understand that the system is comparing the delivery quantity with the quantity on the current line (450 yards), but the business case requires the overdelivery to be allowed, because the overdelivery percentage on the parent line is 10%. The customer does not want to have to set the overdelivery percentage again.
I am wondering whether there is a way achieve this without customization, or perhaps I have missed something.
Best regards,
