How to close sales documents when the order has been canceled?

I used "tools/utilities/sales/reconcile-remove sales documents" to close the sales order but this order still shows "Unposted".

Please let me know how to remove this order from Sales Order Processing Document Inquiry- "Unposted" without deleting/voided the order.

You can't post a Sale Order. It's like a Purchase Order - just a placeholder that is used as the basis for subsequent transactions.

There must be something about the quantities on the lines that is causing it to remain. Did you generate any invoices off this order? Make sure there are no backorder quantities and all quantities have been invoiced.

    Hi,

Richard and Frank give you good advice. To expand just a touch, here is what a properly cancelled line item looks like:

Be sure all of your line items are cancelled and then run the utility again. The document should move to history at that time.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

The quantity of this order are two and we shipped one and canceled one.

I did run the utility-reconcile/remove but the order is still open!

    Thanks,

    Tina
