Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'PERIODID'

I'm uploading journals into GP 2010 using SmartConnect and I am getting the following error message:

"... Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'PERIODID', table 'KHC_T.dbo.GL10000', column does not allow nulls, INSERT fails. The statement has been terminated...."

Can anyone help??

Jack,

Be sure that the transaction date that you're passing in has a fiscal period setup for it in Fiscal Periods Setup (Tools > Setup > Company > Fiscal Periods). This error will occur if you try to pass a transaction date that does not fall into an existing fiscal period.
