Limiting a Product List in FIeldOne Sky

Hi,

We've recently begun to use FIeldOne Sky (8.3.100) on a tablet for our engineers, however, when they're in the field and trying to find products that they need to order for a customer, they have to wade through thousands of sales products as well as service parts.

Is there a way to set up FieldOne Sky so the engineers just see service parts and not the sales products, thus cutting down their searching time and indeed speeding up the time it takes to load the product list when in an area of poor connection.

Cheers in advance

    Hi Ed

Have you thought about using price lists per customer or contract? You can also specify views on the FieldOne Sky App by using woodford to edit them

Here is a guide on Woodford and how to edit views

Editing the views is already underway, that's not an issue.  However, with so many products, with such a variety of prices we're struggling to differentiate between sales and service products.  Currently the hunt is on for the top 100 service products used to see if there's a way of isolating just these but we've not found any way of prioritising these so far.

    Thanks anyway.

In my system I provide a number of views based on products in specific price lists.

Obviously you could have an optionset on the product to say if it is a service or sales product. And additionally filter by that. But I assume your lists could still be very long.

Beyond these types of ideas how would you define "top 100"? Maybe a simple flag to say "top product" would work.
