Hi,

Is there is any way to set only user level access while creating custom entities from CRM or C#.

My requirement is that my custom entity only has user level access, not business unit neither organisation level.

Thanks

Nausher

    Hello,

You can resolve that issue using Security Roles. Just give your users "User Access Level" and that's it.

The other thing that administrators anyway will have possibility to access that data.

Create a new Security Role and set user level access for the entity.

    Thanks Andrii, Gopalan,

My requirement is that no body(even system administrator) able to select Organization or parent business access level. No body will able to select these access level.

I dont think it would work for your requirement.Other way you can try is to write a Plugin on Retrieve of your custom entity and handle your visibility level there. If you dont want to show your record to anyone (not even your admin)..you can add criteria based on your logic like owner check etc.

    Hi Nausher,

If you are trying to control which permissions can be granted for your custom entities so that it's always user level, then you might try to create a plugin and register it on the create/update of the security roles.. you might check, I'm that plugin, what permissions are being granted.. won't help with sysadmins in the sense that they will always have full access either way..

    Hi,

I don't think that it will be possible as we can't restrict the access to any entity for the system administrator.

For others, you could set the access levels for security roles as described in the link below.

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg334717.aspx

    Hope this helps.

You can't restrict the administrator to view the records, because when you go to the security role of admin you will not be able to change the role, Nausheer
