In Dynamics GP 2010 on the IV_Item_Maintenance window when looking at the window in the Modifier, under the Shipping Weight field ther are two fields: Tax Commodity Code and Country of Origin. Both of these fields and the text fields next to them are marked "Visible" on the corresponding Property windows, yet none of them show on the window when the Item card is opened in the application. We don't need the Tax Commodity Code but we do want to record and show the Country of Origin for the items.
Does anyone know what would cause this?

Have you enabled the Enhanced Intrastat module? These fields are particular to Intrastat Returns in the EU. What you enter here becomes the default values when you transact in these items. You can install and enable Intrastat if you wanted - you can make it fairly unobtrusive so that you can use these fields for other purposes - but there would be a bit of set up in it - as always try it in a test company first. Hope this points you in the right direction.
