Hello,
We are about to start a new D365 FinOps / Retail implementation project.
An important question was raised and I would like to have your opinions please.
Here is a simple scenario in order to illustrate :
- Each of our client’s employees connects to the points of sale (different PC’s in the store) with their own Windows user session.
- When a retail device is activated on a single point of sale (one PC), it is done with a specific Windows user session.
- After the activation, when an employee needs to connect to the point of sale, he will open his own Windows user session.
- At this point the Retail device needs to be reactivated, because of the Windows user session change.
This is the discussion issue : Is there any possible way of activating a Retail device without making it dependent of the Windows user session ?
There was already a discussion on the issue, see link below. I would like to know if there are any new points of view.

Thank you.
Kind regards.
