64-bit Outlook Client Install fails

Greetings,

Outlook 2013 64-bit on Windows 7 64bit CRM 2011 Worgroup on Server 2008r2 64-bit with SQL 2008 r2 on box.

When I go to install the 64bit CRM client I receive the following error:

"The installation has failed.  Setup cannot continue because the 32-bit Microsoft Office Outlook is installed, please run 32-bit Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook setup.  Click the the link below to view the log file"

I verified my versions, I should match. The 32-bit version does appear like it will run, but I don't want to blow up my machine.

I also had to launch all of the installers from the sub folders as the "Splash.exe" crashes whenever I try to run the installers from there.

I was able to get the 64-bit client install to run on Windows 8 with Office 2010 64-bit

Correct. The CRM 2011 ClientSetup x64 version that came with the original CRM 2011 Server installation package is outdated and cannot be installed on an Office 2013 x64 installation.

You need to download a newer version of the CRM 2011 ClientSetup x64 for Outlook here:

    www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

If you download the amd64.exe version, you are able to install it in a Windows 8 PC with Office 2013 x64. Don't forget to install the latest UR afterwards (currently UR 12, at the time of writing).

    Hi Guys

I am having a similar problem. I am trying to install the Outlook client on a 64bit  Win7 OS but the the Outlook installed is a 32 bit version. I'm getting the error as above and the files i'm trying to install are the newer version as per response from  AHOCHAU. Hope you can assist.
