Open in Excel action

Hi,

I have an extension for Business Central in which I have several list pages, (extended and new). Also, I have different user groups and permission sets users.

I need some users to have only "Open in Excel" action in these list pages. Please assist me in implementing this requirement through either BC configuration or AL Code.

    You can do this via permissions - excel export action

    Thanks for answering. I tried this permission and the issue with it here is it adds both the "Open in excel" and "Edit in excel" actions, whereas I need only "Open in excel" for some team members. Is there a way to do specifically do that?

    Just one action i.e. Open in excel is needed and Not Edit in Excel.

    You are welcome.

    I have not tried before but could you use personalisation/design mode and remove edit in excel.

    They would not know it was there and you could disable personalisation for that user so they can not re-add (although most users will not even go looking for it)
