    As a general rule - keep the number of fields to a minimum and don't exceed 100 fields.

    How would i solve this?  Create more forms per entity?  Is i possible to navigate to different forms per entity? or create additional enties linked by global fields?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  When i say we have 800+ fields on each form i'm not kidding.  we are unable to add new fields on our case form.  its maxed out.

    Could you please elaborate on the purpose of exposing over 800 fields in a form?  What is the use case scenario on the usage of the fields ? Who are the actors to use the form?

    Answers to the above questions might help in providing options.

    You need to work out some logical grouping for your fields into separate entities and then create a N:1 relationship. You could pre-populate this relationship on create using a workflow so the user only has to click on the lookup to get to the addition fields.

    Unfortunatly the only reason i can give you is that is  our Partner designed it that way 4 years ago.  I 'm a BI developer who noticed it when i was going through the db when i got hired here a few months agoa and I get the job of rebuilding it in CRM 2015.  I asked the business owner and she told me that is how they wanted it so they could see all the fields and over the years it grew into the monster we have today.  I know that is not how its suppose to work so i'm trying to get some ideas/best practices on how it should be set up.  Any advise or tips would be greatly appriciated!

    Thanks,

    mhobbs,  As Scott suggested to plan for logical grouping - brief analysis on the data, usage (create/update/deletes) - who are the actors for each of actions will help in grouping.

    let us know how proceeded.

    best wishes,
