Email received time

Hello,

I am using Dynamics CRM 2013 SP 1 (6.1.1.132)

When emails synchronize from the mailbox to Dynamics CRM, the emails will have a "created on" time at that moment. I am wondering is it possible to grab the email actual received time from the email server?

if you want to know the date when the email was sent or received, you’ll need to look at the Actual End field in the email. The Created On field is populated by CRM when the email is created or tracked in CRM. This will always reflect the time when the email record was actually created in CRM—the moment the email was tracked in CRM.

If you have these columns configured on your email activities view, you’ll see the difference, shown below:

Wont the time be the email is created in CRM the time it was received?

    Hi Chitra,

Thank you for your quick reply, I tried your suggestion

It is not really what I need, since the Actual End shows only the date but not the timestamp.

    Thanks anyway.

    Hi Ben,

Since I have to get some backdated email, it is necessary to know the exact received timestamp of the emails

But the Actual End shows only the date but not timestamp.

    Thank you for your reply

You have to change Display format of the ActualEnd field in customization to Date And Time to show Date and time in the UI.
