Detailed cost from bin/lot combination

Hello all,

I have a client that is trying to validate and analyze their inventory values.
They utilize lot tracking with FIFO costing and have bins enabled.
What I've found is that you can use the bin contents page with the lot visibility personalization. However, we still don't see the details of the costing layers.
I believe we need to create a web service to pull in the lot buffer (7351) and connect that with item ledger and warehouse ledger entries in a PowerBI report or something for them to use. But I'm concerned that still won't be accurate.
Attached is a snip of the bin contents example; but we still need additional cost details.//

Has anyone worked through these details previously or have any ideas?

the way BC designed is to have costing kept in value entries and qty in item ledger entries. those are 2 separate tables. The bin content is tied with item ledger entries in my opinion.

but you could run inventory valuation report to display the lot tracked item, its cost, value

Hi, as far as I know there is no standard way, this requires some customization.
You can add cost fields to this Factbox to display the data when the page is opened.
If you use PowerBI report, because this table is a temporary table, you need to rewrite its logic.

Hopefully other experts can give you better advice.

    Thanks.
