there is no simple answer to the bundle of questions. on a high level, setting up directed location enable users to have dedicated warehouse processes and is good for mature businesses. for small and simple businesses, a simple location set up might be sufficient, otherwise, there will be sharp learning curve and many steps to complete a warehouse task. Directed location also allows full traceability of item movements. the list goes on and on.

    hope it helps

There is no impact on financial data and inventory data, Directed put-away and pick gives you access to advanced warehouse configuration features that can greatly enhance your efficiency and data reliability.
