Installing Microsoft dynamics reporting extensions

I am installing Microsoft dynamics reporting extensions and getting the following error

Could not find a part of the path 'E:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS13.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportManager\web.config'. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)

The issue appears to be that the ReportManager is missing!

SQL reporting services is installed and all checks are passed when the installation in performed but it unfortunately fails with the above error. Any ideas why this is missing ?

Hi

Try to clear the TEMP folder . Sometimes it has some other references which might cause this issue .

Just realised that the custom has Installed SQL Server 2016 which is no on the supported list

I have just realised that our customer has install CRM 2016 on a 2016 SQL server which is not supported.

I got the same error as you mentioned above.

Details: SQL Server Ent 2016

Dynamics CRM 2016

Resolution: Just Created a folder/directory as ReportManager and copied web.config from ReportServer and try to install CRM Reporting Extention again and everything works for me

I get this very problem when I try your solution. I am trying to run Microsoft Dynamics CRM Reporting Extensions Setup. At the end of the installation I get Could not find a part of the path ‘C:\Program Files Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS13.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportManager\web.config’.

The problem is that 'ReportManager\web.config’ is missing. My environment is Server 2012 R2 with updates and MS SQL Server 2016.

This solved my problem installing Extensions on SQL 2016 after installing Dynamics CRM on a separate server. Thanks a bunch.

It's a pretty hacky solution but it works. I don't like it, but it works!
