Change GL Account numbers for posted accounts

We have a set of GL accounts that already have transactions posted in prior and current years. We would like to change the numbers, but the segments, character length, and framework stays the same. What tool can I use to make this change? I've read about PSTL and CRG, but can't tell which one is for which scenario.

    Both PSTL and CRG will work.  I prefer CRG because it's a bit more intuitive but I would make my decision based on the economics.

    Jay,

    I would recommend Account Modifier, part of the PSTL, which is now free for GP 10.0 and GP 2010.  I have used it a dozen times for this exact purpose and it's always worked great.
