selecting different contact does not update customer address and email

Posted on by 70
I have a customer that has 5 different contacts, each having a different address and e-mail.

When I select a different contact ( circled red below ), It does not update  e-mail and address to that of the contact.
Am I missing a step? Something I need to do in marketing setup for this to work?

I think you should use Ship-to Address instead of Contact in this case.

    Hope this helps as well.
    Thanks.

That’s standard behavior. The fields 'Contact Code' and 'Contact Name' are used solely to select the default contact for a customer. For this reason, the fields on the Address & Contact FastTab of the customer card are related to the customer itself, not the contact person. They won’t be updated when you select a new contact in the 'Contact Code' or 'Contact Name' fields. You can read more about this here - Changes in synchronization between contact and customer or vendor - Dynamics 365 Release Plan | Microsoft Learn

Confirm the Contact Type for Contact code C00034, if its type Person then it will not insert the E-mail Address. It just inserts the Name then exits as shown in the code snippet below.
