Fields not available in the Email Server Profile form

Hi everyone!  I need to set the Auto Discover Server Location option to No, in an Email Server Profile.  However, when I open the form,  I noticed that this field is not present, and there are also others missing. The only ones I can edit in the General section are Name and Description.  If I deactivate the record, the missing fields (auto discover server location, incoming server location and outgoing server location) appear for a brief moment and then they get hidden again.   Does anyone know why this could be happening?  I am using CRM Online Fall 2014.  I have System Admin rights.  Thanks!

    Hi Aldo,

    Can you please point to any link describing how Server to server authentication work between Dynamics CRM online and Exchange online?

    Thanks

    In case anyone else has the same issue of the fields disappearing (as I did), there's a fix using Developers Tools to temporarily display and activate the fields again:

    This is correct. I was able to re-enable the fields using the F12 debugger and setting the HTML elements that were disabled/invisible to visible/enabled.

    I've documented it on my blog: http://ow.ly/QxhFR

    The other thing to consider is that when approving the user's email, the user doing the approving needs to be both an Office 365 admin and a CRM admin. If they are just a CRM admin it won't work.

    Hi Everyone,

    This fix, to quickly click the button before it disappears, does not appear to be working anymore.  To solve the problem on my end, I used some JavaScript to re-enable the buttons on the form.  After pressing F12 on the Email Server Profile form, type this into the console:

    frames[0].Xrm.Page.getControl("useautodiscover").setVisible(true);

    frames[0].Xrm.Page.getControl("incomingserverlocation").setVisible(true);

    frames[0].Xrm.Page.getControl("outgoingserverlocation").setVisible(true);

    frames[0].Xrm.Page.getControl("useautodiscover").setDisabled(false);

    frames[0].Xrm.Page.getControl("incomingserverlocation").setDisabled(false);

    frames[0].Xrm.Page.getControl("outgoingserverlocation").setDisabled(false);

    After doing so, I set the values and saved, and the email server profile began functioning properly.

    Thanks,

    Greg

    Hi Aldo, to confirm CRM Online with Exchange (on-premises) is no longer supported? Can we still interface with the on-premise Exchange via PO3/SMTP?

    Hello Mauricio,

    If you present Server Side Synchronization problems having several error messages or warning messages when configuring mailboxes maybe you are facing problems with corrupt appointments in Outlook.

    As recommendation you could run Calendar Check tool to verify if you have corrupt appointments in Outlook application:

    www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx and delete or fix corrupt appointments in calendar: searchexchange.techtarget.com/.../Fixing-corrupt-Microsoft-Outlook-calendar-entries

    Also verify that *dynamics.com domain is added to trusted sites in Internet Explorer to unlock SSS connection.

    Internal traces will be like:

    2014-12-03 22:32:29.302] Process:CrmAsyncService |Organization:xxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxx |Thread:  733 |Category: ExchangeSync |User: 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 |Level: Error |ReqId:  | ExchangeSyncWorker.SynchronizeACTs  ilOffset = 0x4C

    >Exchange sync worker for the mailbox is failed/terminated : {AA720312-685B-E411-BB64-2C59E53AF7C0}. Exception details : Unhandled Exception: System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added.

    Also remember to keep updated CRM Outlook and Email Router if applicable to improve performance: support.microsoft.com/.../3036179

    Thanks for the clarification!  We had an issue with auto-discovery but I will try to revert my changes and see if it works properly.
