Authenticating users in BC through Entra ID

Hello,

During a test conducted a test environment, our attempts to authenticate users through Entra ID failed.

While Microsoft's documentation states that authentication with Entra ID is possible, the evidence identified irregularities in authentication procedures for version 20, as confirmed by Microsoft representatives, when also checking with them.

Attached to the official Microsoft documentation web page that states the authentication of version 20 with Entra Id.

Is authentication through Entra ID possible in Business Central On-Premises V20?

I think this was available starting from BC23, but we haven't yet tested this out in our company.

I think it should be possible, although the method is a little different and it has not been tested in BC17. I hope the information below can give you some tips.
