reserve sales order items on load release in load planning work bench

hi

i have heard that you maybe able to do this in D365. take a sales order, complete no reservation to the sales order lines when keyed. plan to a load ID and then go to load planning work bench. then release the load, which in turn reserves the stock on the sales orders and creates the work to pick. is this true? and if yes where to i set this up in d365?

    Yes this process is supported. To reserve during release of loads you need to enable the "Reserve inventory at load posting" parameter on the warehouse you are releasing for.

    This is done on the warehouse form under the Warehouse tab and then the parameter is in the Reservation group.

    thanks Lennart, that worked, i had done this but wasnt working, but was due to some *** up with our stock that consultants had made. glad i did the right thing.
