Hi Community,

In Navision/ Business Central, I see that there is this Posted Warehouse Shipment Line, when I navigate it it becomes a Warehouse document.

1. May I know what is the basic function of this document in Navision?

2. In day-today freight shipment. may I know what is the common term for this document?
For example, I understand that for Posted Sales Shipment document, in day-to-day, I understand my colleagues call them Deliver Order or DO.
Is there such a naming term for this Warehouse Document?

Just trying to see if I can link the terms up for easier laymen understanding. Thank you !

I think there is nothing special about this, it is just warehouse shipments.
    In MS Learn:
To ship items using a warehouse shipment document

    Thanks.

The posted warehouse shipment line provides detailed tracking for each item that is physically shipped from a warehouse. Each line records important details like the item number, quantity shipped, and bin etc for logistics and inventory management.

Typically you use advanced warehousing documents if you want to split or segregate users that create sales orders/purchase orders from users that receive and ship inventory in the warehouse. This way warehouse users don't work with purchase/sales documents directly. They only work with the warehousing documents. Warehouse shipments are just another way of shipping inventory out of your warehouse/system to a customer. They accomplish the same thing as shipping directly from a sales document.

That sounds like an internal name in your company rather than something standard.
