Schedule Emails in CRM 2015 on premise

Hi,

I have never worked with the email configuration in Dynamics.

Now my requirement is to send some emails to all the users on some selected date of every month (e.g. 22nd and 27th) . This mail should not be sent from any users' id, it should be any other id. Like (e.g. mycompany@dynamics.com). It is like a scheduled email activity i guess.

Do i need to have a new Exchange account license to use is "From" for the emails or Dynamics has any mechanism available out of the box ?

How can i configure this scheduling ?

I appreciate any suggestions on this. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

You can send email from Queue and yes you need exchange account to represent that email. then you can utilize ms crm workflow wait to send email on the specified duration. below post should help you to get started:

As I said you can utilize wait condition for that, just you need to start that once manually then you can utilize it refer second post for that.

    Hi Girijesh,

For sending mails on particular date for all users you can create a next scheduled date on user form and configure workflow to fire on it onchange as well as oncreate.

Then using bulk edit update the field which will trigger the workflows. Take care to update the next scheduled on with the new date at the end of the workflow.

    Hi Surmeet and Himbap,

I have created a new entity in which i have crated a record containing Next Scheduled Date which is basically a date field.

Now i am writing the workflow to send an email when today's date matches to that date field. Now :

    1) Is there any way to find today's date in the workflow ?

    2) I think Workflow always needs a trigger, like record creation, field value change etc. how will it get triggered automatically.

    Hi Girijesh,

    1. On creation of the record, place js to put some default value in the field like today's date and time as 3 PM(choose time as needed).

    2. In Workflow place a timeout condition on the next scheduled date.

    3. As last step in workflow, update the next scheduled date with value like (Next scheduled on +1 day(as per requirement). This will automatically create another instance of workflow job which will waiting for next date.
